Nigeria international Semi Ajayi is poised to depart West Bromwich Albion this summer as his contract nears its expiration, according to NigeriaSoccernet.com.

The 30-year-old defender, who has been with the Sky Bet Championship outfit since 2019, is not expected to receive a renewal, with the club reportedly open to letting him leave on a free transfer.

Ajayi has played a vital role for the Baggies over the years, contributing both defensively and occasionally on the scoresheet. However, with his current deal expiring at the end of the 2024/25 season, West Brom are now preparing to part ways with the Super Eagles centre-back.

His next move remains uncertain, but with his experience at both club and international levels, Ajayi is expected to attract interest from teams across Europe and possibly in Asia or the Middle East.
