Rasheedat Ajibade grateful after winning POTM award
Nigeria Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade has emerged the Athletico De Madrid Femenino's layer of the month for the month of February, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Ajibade received the JugadoraCincoEstrellas award from Futbol Mahou for February.
Ajibade expressed delight over the award, thanking the fans and teammates for their invaluable support while speaking her club's media
"I very excited to win the player of the month of February. I really appreciate it. Special thanks to the fans because if not for them I don't have this award. I'm really grateful and appreciate the fans. This is not just for me alone, the award is for the fans, I dedicate it to them and I'm so grateful to God above all and also my teammates because I can't do it alone, it is combination of everybody's effort that help to win this award.
The Super Falcons captain beat Madrid's Carmen Menayo, Ludmila Silva, Eva Navarro and Vilde Boe Risa to win the award.
Athletico De Madrid Femenino have a Copa Del La Reina (Queen's Cup) first leg semi final tie with Real Sociedad at the Alcalá de Henares Sports Center on Wednesday.
