Reactions have continued to trail the performances of the Golden Eaglets in the just concluded WAFU B U17 championship in Ghana, Nigeriasoccernet can report.

The Golden Eaglets following an unbeaten run emerged victorious in the tournament which ended on Friday.

They beat Burkina Faso 2-1 in the final played in Cape Coast to claim the top prize. Their appearance in the final also gave Nigeria the ticket to the U17 Nations Cup in Algeria next year.

Speaking exclusively to completesports after the win is former Super Eagles goalie, Peter Rufai who believed if the players are well nutured can replicate such level of performances for the Super Eagles in the future.

“I am really delighted with the performance of the Golden Eaglets at the WAFU U-17 championship. Besides, they crowned their superb efforts with glory by winning the tournament after defeating Burkina Faso in the final.

"This players are full of qualities are can become a key part of the Super Eagles in future if well monitored our coaches.”
