Southampton manage Nathan Jones has revealed that Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu will not be playing this weekend for the Saints at the Gtech Community Stadium, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Onuachu on the last day of the January transfer window moved to Southampton on a deal worth about €21m.

Onuachu is, however, yet to be granted a work permit by the British Home Office which will make him eligible to play in the Premier League due to the yet to be granted work permit by the British Home Office which will make him eligible to play in the Premier League.

This there Onuachu along side another new acquired Ghana midfielder, Kamaldeen Sulemana however, will not be listed for the game against Brentford.

“They’re in the building but we’re limited with what we can do with them because of the work permit situation,” Jones told reporters ahead of the game.

“You’re better off ringing the Home Office to find out. We can keep asking but until we get clarification on their work permits, neither will be involved.”
