Nasarawa United Technical Adviser, Abubakar Arikya has chided his players for failing to follow instructions following their one all draw against Gombe United in an Nigeria Premier Football League match on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Arikya stated after the match day 14 tie at the New Jos Stadium that it was unfortunate that things didn't go as planned after 90 minutes.

Nasarawa United were held by Gombe United 1-1 following an error by goalkeeper Mohammed Galadima after a cross by Usman Abbas while Ayuba Francis levelled score for the Solid Miners.

A result that didn't go down well with Arikya.

"It's unfortunate that our plans didn't work out as expected.

"Our performance today was different from our previous games because we were expecting a better and higher performance from the boys.

"Our opponents today played very well; they were better off on the ball because to they played to instructions.

"Unfortunately, my boys didn't play to instructions and that cost us the maximum points.

He however remains upbeat that Nasarawa United will escape relegation at the end of the season.

"Nevertheless, we are optimistic of beating the drop zone."
