Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan forward, Sikiru Alimi, declares he is not worried by his inability to find the back of the net yet, stressing that the overall success of the team remains his ultimate goal.

The experienced goal poacher is yet to score a goal in the ongoing 2022/23 season, but has been making positive impacts since he regained full fitness from injury.

"There is nothing to worry about. I am not under any pressure because I have not been scoring, the good thing is that the team is getting the desired result now and that is my greatest joy," the ex Sunshine Stars of Akure striker told Shooting Stars Media.

Continuing, Alimi said. "This happens sometimes in football. I'm not troubled by the fact that I m not scoring now. When the goals will start coming, it will start coming and it won't stop coming", stated the hardworking attacker.

"The most important thing is that the team is getting the result now and that is due to the collective effort of all the players. The overall progress and success of the team is the ultimate, individual achievement is secondary.

On next Sunday's matchday 13 tie against Remo Stars, Alimi expressed confidence that the Ibadan soccer lords will continue with their new found form, assuring the team's supporters of another victorious outing.

The former Remo Stars of Ikenne striker missed the start of the season due to injury, but has become a regular member of the Oluyole Warriors matchday squads, since recovering.
