Shooting Stars Sports Club Coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has expressed disappointment following his side's loss to reigning champions, Enyimba in a Nigeria Premier Football League match on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Oluyole Warriors lost 1-0 courtesy of a Chijioke Mbaoma's 44 minutes strike at the Enyimba International Stadium and the experience gaffer stated after the match that they deserved a better result.

He states they were careless in conceding the goal.

“The game has been won and lost; we will take the positives. Be it as it may, sometimes you give it your all but you don’t get the desired result, or worse, we deserve a point from this game.

“We were careless with the goal we conceded today; it’s a situation we could have avoided.

“Sometimes, it happens like that in the game. We will go back home, pick up the pieces, and let’s see what happens,” stated the former Rangers International gaffer.

The former Enyimba coach also spoke about his optimism for the second stanza of the league which resumed at the weekend, expressing confidence that his team will end well.

“This is the first game; we still have about eighteen games in the second stanza; all we need to do is see what we needed to do that we didn’t do right in this game, and once we get that done, I’m sure we will get it right,” said the former Remo Stars and Enyimba sweat merchant.

3SC are currently 12th on the NPFL log with 26 points after 20 matches.
