Lobi Stars Coach, Mohammed Baba Ganaru has stated that it was important his team got their first win in the NPFL Match Day 2 fixtures against Rangers International of Enugu on Wednesday.

Joseph Atule late minute strike secured maximum points for the Markudi based team on Wednesday at the New Jos Stadium.

It was quiet a relief for the team which had lost their match day one fixture against reigning champions, Rivers United following a late minute penalty kick goal.

Gaffer of the side, Mohammed is happy with the win and states that it will take off anxiety and pressure.

"The team showed character and fighting spirit. It is important to start with a win at home to avoid anxiety and pressure" Baba Ganaru said in a post match reaction.

Lobi Stars travel to Umuahia for their next game against Abia Warriors on Saturday.
