Kano Pillars forward, Gambo Mohammed, has declared himself fit ahead of his side's Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 19 fixture against Plateau United on Sunday at the Rwang Pam Stadium.

The striker sustained a nasty head injury in his side's matchday 12 1-0 defeat against Rivers United in Port Harcourt.

He has missed the Sai Masu Gida's last six league games but is looking forward to staging a comeback against one of their northern rivals.

"I'm fit and ready for action once again," the former Nigeria international told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"It was a scary moment for me but I thank God everything is over now.

"I'm looking forward to playing a part in tomorrow's game against Plateau United."

The Pyramid City side are without a win in their last three games but Gambo is confident they can put an end to that poor run on Sunday.

"We are not happy with our performance and results in recent games, but we hope to do well against Plateau United."
