NPFL Preseason: Bendel Insurance have a date with 3SC in opener
After draws on Monday, the four clubs billed to take part in the NPFL licensed preseason tournament tagged "Super Cup tournament" now know how their match proceedings will go.
Nigeria National League champions and newly promoted NPFL side, Bendel Insurance will face Shooting Stars in their opening game a fixture that portends a traditional clash of some sort.
The draws which took place on Monday, December 5, 2022, at the Elegance Hotel & Suites, Adetokunbo Ademola, Lagos sets the tone for the tournament which starts this Tuesday at Remo Stars Stadium.
For the Insurance's General Coordinator, Mrs. Sabina Chikere who was represented by Mr. Charles Olubayo, the tournament will serve as a test of strength for the team ahead of the new season.
"We are glad to be part of this tournament and we will give it a good run. It is a good way to test out strength going into the new season – with the presence of heavyweights like Shooting Stars, Enyimba International, and Enugu Rangers."
The tournament will see all teams play against each other and have the winners of the group take on the second-placed team for the grand prize.
