The contenders for the prestigious Nigeria Premier Football League Player of the Month award for March have been revealed. Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The shortlisted players include Clinton Jephta from Niger Tornadoes, Deputy Echeta representing Rivers United, Junior Lokosa of Sporting Lagos, Michael Ibe from Katsina United, Sikiru Alimi of Remo Stars, and Ubong Friday from Akwa United.

Ubong Friday showcased his prowess by netting five goals for Akwa United, including an impressive hat-trick and a brace earlier in the month.

Sikiru Alimi made a striking return to form, notching three goals for Remo Stars, tying as the NPFL joint-top scorer with 14 goals.

Former Bendel Insurance forward Deputy Echeta contributed three goals, aiding Rivers United to victory in two out of five matches played during the month.

Clinton Jephta continued to shine olin his debut season in the top tier securing four goals for the Ikon Allah Boys in April.

Michael Ibe and Junior Lokosa also earned nominations, both scoring three goals each for Katsina United and Sporting Lagos, respectively.
