Plateau United handed Gombe United yet another big defeat in the Nigeria Premier Football League after Nenrot Silas scored a hat-trick in Jos on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Silas' hattrick and a goal by Alex Enejo gave the Peace Boys a resounding victory which further compounded the woes of  the Savannah Scorpions at the Jos Township Stadium.

With great momentum, the host created several chances with a late minute attempt by Enejo hitting the bar, but all to no avail as the first half ended  goalless.

The deadlock was finally broken in the second half with a goal by Enejo on 54 minutes.

Sunday Anthony pulled out a wonderful piece and provided a fantastic assist for Enejo to finish.

Silas doubled the lead 14 minutes later after a deflected ball found him again, his first touch was enough to drive a high ball into the net with his left foot.

He made it 3-0 after he struck a right footed shot beat the goalkeeper on 72 minutes courtesy of a Hilary pass.

Sam Pam's corner found Nenrot who shoot straight into the net to make it 4 for the Jos Boys 7 minutes later to complete the rout.

The win takes Plateau United top pending Lobi Stars and Rivers United while Gombe United remain rock bottom.
