NPFL LaLiga U-15 Promise: Lobi Stars, Insurance, Rangers, Gombe crash out
After the round 3 games of match day 6, Lobi Stars, Bendel Insurance, Ranger International and Gombe United have been eliminated from the Nigeria Premier Football League LaLiga U-15 Promise tournament in Remo Stars Stadium, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Lobi Stars were handed their third consecutive defeat by Plateau United after losing by four goals to two on Wednesday in the group A match.
Sumfat Julius scored in the third minutes for the Mees Palace Football Academy (Plateau United).
Befa Agbonle doubled the lead 8 minutes later before a missed penalty by Chris Yusuf that would have tripled the lead.
Agbonle however made three in the 24th minute as the Jos Boys seal in the first half of the encounter.
Umar Bala made it four a minute into the second half before Bernard Aonbohemba and Bernard Aonbohemba pulled two back in the 44th and 49th minute.
In group C, David Amos gave Dakkada FC the lead before Ogar Gabriel restored parity for Bendel Insurance in their last group game.
The result leaves Insurance out of the tournament, garnering just two points after three matches.
In group D, Rangers and Gombe United shared the spoils 0-0 after 60 minutes as they both crash out of the tournament.
Rangers finish with two points while Gombe United finish with a point after three matches.
Meanwhile, Sunshine Stars secured a spot in the last 8 after their win over Kwara United in group B.
