Niger Tornadoes acting Technical Adviser, Majin Mohammed has asked his team to keep the momentum to end the Nigeria Premier Football League season on a high after beating Bayelsa United on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Ikon Allah Boys edged Bayelsa United 1-0 at the Samson Siasia Stadium courtesy of a line strike by Ikechukwu Nwani on 57 minute.

Mohammed when asked after the match  what the plan for the game was, stated that his team was well prepared with the mindset to get the win if other teams could go away and win.

"Well we prepare for it, and you know in a game of football, anything can happen, If Rangers can come to Kaduna and beat us two nil, we can equally do the same on the road, so we are not surprised."

He also took the opportunity to commend the boys for their doggedness which ensured victory on the day as he described their performance as "very wonderful, having realised that we lost points at home and we are in danger, the only way is to put up a good fight way they did and get out of the danger."

With their first away win in the campaign, a win which takes them to 16th position with 27 points same as 15th placed, Bayelsa United, Mohammed disclosed the result could be a turning point for the team if the momentum is sustained.

"It means there is hope for the team, if we can continue like this, the sky will be our limit.

Niger Tornado host Sporting Lagos in 3 days time and will seek to continue the fine performance.
