Uyo based Nigeria Professional Football League outfit Akwa United have appointed ex Lobi Stars and Gombe United coach, Mohammed Babaganaru as the new manager until end of the season, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

The just appointed Babaganaru boasts two NPFL titles which he won with with Kano Pillars during the 2011/2012 season and also during the 2012/2013 campaign, a sensational back to back achievement from the tactician.

Recall that the manager departed resigned from his role at Gombe United before their match against Enyimba after overseeing 21 games, resulting in 7 wins, 11 defeats, and 3 draws.

He has now replaced Umar Abdullahi, who served as interim head coach at Akwa United following the resignation of former boss Osho Fatai who joined from Rivers United earlier this season.
