The Nigeria Football Federation has declared the Super Eagles head coach role vacant and that of the Golden Eaglet vacant, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.

Peseiro who led the Super Eagles to ba second place finish at the just concluded AFCON in Ivory Coast left his role as the head coach of the team few weeks ago.

The NFF in the early hours of today officially declared the position open while enjoying interested applicants with eligible qualifications to apply.

Also declared opened for applications is the role of the head coach of the Golden Eaglet. The most successful U17 team in the world are without a head coach at the moment.

Former Super Eagles player and coach Austin Eguavoen was earlier reported to have stepped into Jose Peseiro's shoes on an interim basis. However, with the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa around the corner, the Federation is set to appoint a permanent handler for the 3 times African champions.
