The world's most expensive player, Paul Pogba, has been singing the praises of new teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, describing how important the striker is to the club.

Both men joined Manchester United in the summer transfer window, although the difference in price couldn't have been greater. Ibrahimovic joined the club as a free agent, whilst United re-signed Pogba from Juventus for a world record £89m.

The Frenchman has been speaking to French TV station "?TF1 about how he is settling in and revealed that his new Swedish teammate has plenty to offer both the club and him personally.

Pogba said: "Ibrahimovic is like a big brother. He has a winning mentality, a great player. He's very important in Manchester, with him we can reach our objectives."

The Swedish striker, who is well known for his self belief, has had a relatively quiet period having burst onto the scene at Old Trafford when he scored three goals in his first two games.

Having joined on a free from PSG, there will be little pressure on the striker as the Red Devils will not feel the financial pinch of a transfer fee.

Things are slightly different though for the £89m Paul Pogba. The midfielder has endured a tough start to his second coming at United, with many critics already arguing that the Red Devils paid far too much for the Frenchman.

Pogba responded to this topic on the interview with TF1, insisting that whilst he has made a slow start, he remains confident that he can prove his doubters wrong.

"I will need a little time to adapt in Manchester. Time for the machine to start working. I am adapting,' said the Frenchman.

"People like to talk about Paul Pogba. The critics, they stay for a day, then after that I put my music back on, I dance. Returning to Manchester United is a new chapter in my career. New players, new coach, it's a great challenge. Does my price put more pressure on me? No, I have none."
