Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for a second time in succession, with winger Leroy Sane scooping the Player of the Month award.

Guardiola picked up the October award after his side were the only top flight team to maintain a 100 percent record, scoring 13 goals in three victories.

City beat Stoke 7-2 and Burnley 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium before a 3-2 win at West Bromwich Albion as they opened up an eight-point gap at the top of the table.

They also won 2-1 against Napoli in the Champions League and beat Wolverhampton Wanderers in the League Cup on penalties to make it 16 wins and a draw from 17 games in all competitions.

Former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach Guardiola won the award for September after four straight victories in the Premier League.

Sane, meanwhile, contributed three goals and three assists to City's exhilarating run of October form.
