Ashantigold captain Lawrence Lartey is pleased with the side’s impressive start to the Ghana Premier League season.

The miners have been in an impregnable form this season, bagging 21 points from 24 games.

The Obuasi-based side are enjoying their best start in the Ghanaian top-flight in three years and captain Lawrence Lartey has expressed his delight with their progress so far.

“We’re very happy with our performance at the moment and hope it continues,” he said

“The mentality and focus has been great. It’s too early to start talking about title aspirations.

“We’re taken one game after the other and then we’ll see how it goes in the weeks ahead.
