Asante Kotoko midfielder Jordan Opoku has asked his club's fans to stay calm and has promised the Porcupine Warriors will up their performance.

Kotoko were unable to recover from a Selasi Adjei 7th minute goal at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

"I understand what they are going through. We don't like it. They also don't like it. It's painful. All I can say is that, they should please be calm. We will work hard to change the present state of affairs," he said in a post-match interview.

Kotoko's defeat was their first time in seven seasons against their bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak.
