Inter Allies Technical Director Willie Klutse says he is at sea over the departure of head coach Yaw Achampong from the club.

Klutse, says the former Ghana international was building a winsome side and his departure from the club comes to him as a surprise.

“He was working well and putting things in place for a good take off this season and suddenly he says he wants to stop,” Klustse told GHANASoccernet.com

“I am really surprised over this development.”

When questioned if he felt Achampong’s departure had something to do with the appointment of Paa Kwesi Fabian, Klutse said the club was only trying to augment the technical department of the team.

“When you go into Europe there are about four or even at times five coaches in a club,” he said.

“The important thing is that your work is secured, let me tell you last season we started the league with a young coach like Achampong and we couldn’t win the first eight games.

“So getting an experienced head to help did not warrant his departure.”

Inter Allies begin their season at home against Medeama next Sunday at the Tema Sports Stadium.
