Osimhen on track to return for Galatasaray's Istanbul Derby, Says President Özbek
Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek is confident that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will be fit to return for the highly anticipated Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe on December 1, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Osimhen has been sidelined with an injury sustained while on international duty with Nigeria, but the club remains optimistic about his swift recovery.
Özbek told Hürriyet that Osimhen's rehabilitation is progressing well, with a recovery period of approximately two weeks expected.
"Our focus is on Osimhen being ready for the Fenerbahçe match. Our doctors are working on that, he wil likely have a recovery of two weeks" he said.
Osimhen has been in impressive for Galatasaray, scoring nine goals in 12 league matches this season.
