The match, originally slated for Wednesday, was postponed to 8:00 a.m. on Thursday due to administrative reasons. The reigning champions put the delay behind them as they dominated from start to finish.

Bayelsa Queens took the lead in the 12th minute through Kesiena Ojiyovwi, who finished calmly after sustained pressure. The advantage was doubled in the 36th minute when Kindness Ifeanyi pounced on a loose ball to make it 2–0.

The champions shifted into an even higher gear in the second half. Substitute Alaba Olabiyi struck twice in the 73rd and 80th minutes, showcasing her clinical finishing to put the game beyond reach.
