Iwobi set to make history as Nigeria's Most Capped Player, says Troost-Ekong
Nigeria captain William Troost-Ekong has tipped his teammate Alex Iwobi to become the country's most capped player, praising the Fulham midfielder's dedication and commitment to the national team, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Iwobi, who made his 90th appearance for Nigeria in the 4-1 win over Gabon, is just 22 games behind Ahmed Musa, who holds the record for most caps.

Troost-Ekong believes Iwobi's experience and leadership will help him achieve this milestone.
"I'm sure for him to achieve 90 caps is something really, really special," Troost-Ekong said.
"He's set to break all the records that we have here in the coming years. And a player that has grown to become so mature.
"So, when we talk about leadership in our team, Alex is definitely a big part of that".
Iwobi has also made history as the first Nigerian player to reach 300 Premier League appearances, a testament to his enduring talent and commitment to the sport.
The Super Eagles look set to benefit from his experience in Sunday's World Cup playoff final against DR Congo.
