Super Eagles coach designate Gernot Rohr is due to watch a Nigeria league match between Ikorodu United and Shooting Stars on Sunday in Lagos, according to a media report.

Rohr, who has handled Gabon and Niger as well as several clubs including Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia and Bordeaux, is due in Nigeria at the weekend, according to The Eagle Online.

He is expected to be presented to the media and public on arrival claimed the report.

Last month, Frenchman Paul Le Guen turned down an offer from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to lead the Super Eagles.

The Franco-German’s immediate task is to qualify Nigeria to the 2018 World Cup in Russia along chief coach Salisu Yusuf.

Nigeria open their opening qualifying campaign on October 3 in Zambia.

Algeria and Cameroon are the other teams in this qualifying pool.
