Hearts produced a rampant display to wallop second-tier side Istanbul FC 3-0 to advance to the next stage of the Elite Cup competition on Wednesday.

Isaac Oduro put the Phobians ahead in the 22nd minute through the spot kick by sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.

Musah Inusah added the second on his debut with a 30-yard belter in the 73rd minute before Maxwell Boakye completed the rout at the Accra sports stadium.

The capital-based side found their rhythm with coach Herbert Addo given the opportunity to some players on the fringes.

The win will serve as real boost to the side ahead of the return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup against AS Police in Benin this weekend.
