Hearts have lost patience with coach Herbert Addo and are planning to replace the 64-year-old with Mas-Ud Dramani, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

The Phobians suffered a 2-1 defeat to high-flying Inter Allies on Sunday to slip further behind leaders Ashantigold.

Hopes of progression to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup are also relatively slim, given that the Ghanaian giants take a slender 2-1 lead from the first leg ahead of the return encounter against Senegalese side Olympique Ngor this weekend.

GHANAsoccernet.com understands some top officials have held secret meetings with the ex-Kotoko trainer with a view of replacing their current under-fire boss.

A leading supporter of the club Aziz Haruna Futah is leading a campaign to have the former Black Maidens installed as their new coach following concerns about the tactics of the veteran trainer.

It’s believed that Hearts feel that Addo hasn’t taken the forward enough with the fans demanding a swift response to their downward spiral in the Ghanaian top-flight.

“We are begging Togbe Afede to appoint Didi as our new coach so Herbert Addo is appointed technical director, Futah said

“There is no end in sight to our troubles and we need Didi now. Didi is a better coach and will make a positive impact in the team. He is a through and through Hearts fan. I know that for a fact.

“The fans are crying for Didi. We cannot afford to miss out on the league and the CAF Confederation Cup.”

Silverware have eluded Hearts in domestic cup competitions and for a club of their stature, Addo’s campaign is deemed a failure even after 12 rounds of matches in the Ghanaian top-tier.

A change at the top appears to be on the horizon following news that Dramani has emerged as Addo’s potential successor.

Dramani is currently unemployed after parting ways with Kotoko.

He won back-to-back titles with the Porcupine Warriors.
