Former Nigeria international, Julius Aghahowa is of the opinion that youngster, Gift Orban should be given an immediate call up to the senior national team, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Orban has been in imperious form of recent scoring 12 goals in eight matches for his Belgian club, KAA Gent.

He announced his presence in the league and in Europe after scoring a double brace last week in the Belgian Jupiler League and a three minutes hattrick in the Europa Conference League on Wednesday.

As a result, Aghahowa is one of those who feels the 20-year-old who is yet to feature for Nigeria at any of the age grade levels, deserves an immediate call up.

"He should be called to the national team immediately because he has the record record already and he is doing well", the former Super Eagles goal poacher said.

"He is in a great form at the moment. I think he is a great asset to add in the national team."

Nigerians await the decision of the Nigeria Football Federation in getting the man who won Gent's player of the month and goal of the month award for February to play for his fatherland.
