Ghana U23 made amends and beat Egypt’s Olympic team 3-2 in the second leg of their international friendly played on Saturday.

The Black Meteors were beaten 3-0 in Cairo on Wednesday in the first leg clash.

The hosts took the lead through  Mahmoud Trezeguet from the spot but Ghana equalized from a header courtesy centre-back Baba Mensah.

Egypt goalkeeper Mossad Awad came off his line and terribly slipped as he tried to backpedal to catch the ball.

Ghana then took the lead from a another header when South Africa-based striker Abdul Basit Adams directed a cross from the right into the twine.

It was 3-1 later when  Inter Allies new signing Bright Adjei rushed on Awad and stole a back pass from his feet.

Egypt came back fighting and reduced the deficit with a superb free-kick struck by Ahmed Refaat.

Both sides used the international friendly to prepare for next month’s 2015 All Africa Games qualifiers.
