Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has slammed reports that he has acquired a private jet worth $10m and warned against fake Facebook posts claiming to belong to the Al Ain striker.

Reports of the Black Stars captain acquiring a $10m private jet - complete with pictures of the interior of aircraft - went viral on Tuesday when pictures emerged in the internet.

It has now been revealed that the publication started from a fake Facebook account claiming to belong to the Al Ain superstar which has sparked the fury of the player.

Gyan took to his official Twitter account to slam the report.

"I want to repeat it again. I AM NOT ON FACEBOOK! So if you are talking to someone on FB that says it's me it is NOT! Report it to the police," Gyan wrote on his Twitter account.

This is the second time Gyan has been subjected to fake Facebook posting claiming to be from the Ghana striker.
