Flamingos seal Morocco 2025 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup ticket
Nigeria U-17 Women national team are through to the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Morocco, after grabbing a 4-0 aggregate win over the Algerian U-17 Women, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Flamingos, will be one of five African representatives at the World Cup in Morocco later this year after holding Algeria to a 0-0 draw at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker Blida on Friday.
The Flamingos, calm and composed, soaked up pressure and relied on counter-attacks, building on their dominant first-leg victory with goals from Queen Joseph (2), Zainab Raji, and Aisha Animashaun.
Nigeria, bronze medallists in 2002, will now join hosts Morocco and three other African teams at the expanded 24-team.
The Flamingos of Nigeria qualify for a remarkable eighth Fifa U-17 Women's World Cup, having only missed one edition (2018).
