FERWAFA President Demands Victory Over Nigeria in World Cup Qualifier
President of the Rwanda Football Association (FERWAFA), Fabrice Shema, has insisted that the Amavubi cannot afford to lose against Nigeria in their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying tie, writes Nigeriasoccernet.com.
Rwanda, coached by Adel Amrouche, slipped to second place in Group C after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Nigeria in a matchday five clash at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali, in March.
Ahead of Friday’s decisive fixture, Shema addressed the squad and technical crew, charging them to secure maximum points.
“What I asked the players is that losing is not an option,” Shema declared.
He further assured the players that all outstanding bonuses and allowances would soon be cleared, while also promising extra incentives should they defeat the Super Eagles.
