Nigeria's Falconets depart the country in the coming days for a training tour of Colombia to be in shape ahead of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Costa Rica.

The Nigerian side qualified for the biennial competition in style beating their opponents including Cameroon to book their place.

They have been in closed camping in Abuja under Christopher Danjuma as their coach and are prepared to intensify their training as the competition draws closer.

Nigeria Football Federation head of communication Ademola Olajire while speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria said the training will be for a week and from the crossover to Costa Rica for the World Cup.

"The national under-20 women football team who have been training in Abuja will depart for a one-week training tour in Barranquilla, Colombia,” he said.

Falconets will open their campaign on August 12th against France before playing Canada and Korea Republic later in the tournament.
