It was indeed a wonderful Round of 32 match at the Edo State University Sports Complex as Osun Babes FC defeated Gallant Queens FC by two goals to nil, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

The first half of the match was more of a cagey encounter as chances were hard to come by for the two teams.

Eberechukwu Oleka proved to be a rock at the heart of the defense line of Osun Babes while Kafayat Bashiru was a menace to the defenders of Gallant Queens FC as the first half ended in stalemate.

The second half began just the way it ended until the 62nd minute when Rebecca Omodele was introduced into the game.

In the 63rd minute, Rebecca Omodele picks up the ball from 30 yards out and ran at the heart of the defense of Gallant Queens FC before setting up Kafayat Bashiru who prods the ball into the net from close range.

After the goal, Osun Babes FC bossed possession and tried several times to get the second goal but to no avail.

In the 89th minute, cometh the hour as Rebecca Omodele receives a defense splitting pass from Omolola Asha from 25 yards out. She ran at the goal of Gallant Queens FC and with only the goalkeeper to beat, she puts the ball into the yearning net to make it 2-0.

With the result, Osun Babes FC are through to the Round of 16 of the President Federation Cup.
