Tunisian side Esperance Sportive de Tunis has confirmed selling Ghana striker Emmanuel Clottey to Asante Kotoko.

The Blood and Gold described his move as “an exit solution” after the player was declared surplus to requirements after struggling to command a position at the club.

He failed to convince several Esperance coaches and had to be loaned to UAE side Al Dhafra where he had his contract terminated after six months.

Clottey has penned a three-year contract with the Ghana Premier League champions.

Kotoko on Tuesday announced signing the 2012 CAF Champions League goal king and were waiting for his International Transfer Certificate to complete his registration.
