Enyimba ready to extend lead against Insurance- Eguma
Enyimba head coach Stanley Eguma has declared his team's readiness for their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday five encounter against Bendel Insurance, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The nine-time champions will host Insurance at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on Sunday.
Currently top of the NPFL table with eight points from four games, Enyimba will look to extend their lead at the summit with a win.
Second-placed Rivers United are on continental duty, and a victory for Enyimba will see them pull further ahead of their title rivals.
"I think we are ready for tomorrow’s game (Sunday), it’s a big match, Enyimba and Insurance are both traditional teams that have represented Nigeria well,” he told NFPL media.
“So far, we are trying to consolidate our position on the log, you know it’s not easy getting to the top spot, every team is trying to work on their team and get that stabilization."
