EA Sport: Kvaratskhelia wins Player of the Month over Osimhen
Napoli winger, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been been named Player of the Month for February for the Serie A national league, becoming the first player to take the award twice in the same season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
In the latest recognition of the player’s impact for the club, his selection for the prize was revealed by EA Sports, a division of Electronic Arts that develops and publishes sports video games, on Friday.
Kvaratskhelia beats teammate and the league leading scorer, Victor Osimhen to the award who two days before was award similar accolade by the Italian Footballers Association (AIC).
This time the Georgian received the most number of votes cast by fans in the poll for the prize, with the poll also featuring his Lecce defender Federico Baschirotto, Ángel Di María of Juventus and Torino midfielder Aleksei Miranchuk.
Kvaratskhelia is the first player to win the EA Sports Player Of The Month twice in the same season. He received first in August 2022.
