Ghana winger Christian Atsu played a cameo role for Everton in their 3-0 win over Newcastle  on Sunday.

The Ghanaian international replaced Aaron Lennon with five minutes left to play as the Toffees rediscovered their form.

Atsu has been sidelined with injury since March 1 and only returned to the bench in their Europa League win over Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev.

Roberto Martínez’s men eased their relegation concerns with a composed, controlled and clinical victory with goals from James McCarthy, Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley for a side seeking to re-establish a six-point gap between themselves and the relegation zone.
