Chijoke Akuneto completes medicals ahead of move to Enyimba
Former Rivers United striker, Chijoke Akuneto has had medicals for a move to Enyimba FC on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.
Akuneto who had been reported to be at the verge of signing for the 8-time winners of the league on Sunday, had his medicals this Monday.
The player who was seen at the Enyimba Stadium on Sunday in the Abia State FA Cup final game between Enyimba vs Ahudinnem FC will join the Aba giants on a free transfer for the remainder of the season.
He is expected to put pen to paper on Tuesday with official announcement coming up latest Wednesday.
The former MFM forward emerged the top scorer in the 2021/2022 season after scoring 19 goals in his time with the season's champions, Rivers United.
He comes with wealth of experience and will add more fire power to the front line of the People's Elephant.
