Africa football governing body, CAF have begun inspection to ascertain the readiness of the host nations (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, ahead of the upcoming TotalEnergies CAF CHAN 2024, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The first leg of the inspection tour began on Friday, July 4, at Nairobi’s Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani, a newly renovated 50,000-capacity stadium set to host Group A fixtures and the tournament final scheduled for August 30, 2025. The Nairobi leg concluded with a visit to Nyayo Stadium on Saturday, July 5.

The CAF delegation will now proceed with site assessments in other key host cities, including Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, Kampala in Uganda, and Zanzibar.

Ahead of the stadium visits, CAF conducted in-depth workshops with various departments of the Local Organising Committees (LOCs), focusing on essential operational areas such as broadcasting, safety and security, logistics, team coordination, and transport services.

Kenya’s LOC Chairman, Nicholas Musonye, expressed strong confidence in the country’s preparations, highlighting the close collaboration with CAF to meet all logistical and infrastructural requirements.

CAF’s inspection team is expected to wrap up their visit to Nairobi with a final round of evaluations and recommendations at the Nyayo National Stadium, ensuring that any outstanding upgrades are addressed before the competition kicks off.
