Nigeria's only team left in the CAF Confederation Cup, Rivers United have migrated to the quarter final of the competition after sharing the spoils with Diables Noirs of Congo on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Pride of Rivers played a two all draw with the Congolese side after regulation time at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.

Nyima Nwagua's brace rescued a draw for Rivers United in a pulsating encounter that saw the home side trail at some point.

An own goal by Emmanuel Ampiah in the 27th minute gave the visiting team the lead. A lead they held on to till the end of the half.

After much push for goal, Nwagua finally gave the home side the respite needed as he restored parity in the 73rd minute.

He made it 2-1 in favour of United with his brace four minutes later through a beautiful finish.

However, Egalise Bassinga made sure the Congolese didn't leave Nigeria empty handed as he scored in the 81st minutes.

With 10 points from a possible 15 after 5 matches in group B, Rivers United progress to the quarter final.

They join US Monastir of Morocco, Marumo Gallants of South Africa, USM Alger of Algeria and Yanga SC of Tansania in the last 8 of the CAF Confederation Cup.
