Bayelsa Queens emerged bronze medal winners in the CAF Women's Champions League at Stade Prince Moulay EL Hassan, Rabat, on Saturday.

The Prosperity Girls edged Simba Queens by a goal to nil courtesy of Juliet Sunday who scored in the second half of the match.

Her 71st minute goal was enough to hand the Nigeria League Champions their first CAF Women's Champions League bronze medal in their maiden appearance.

The Nigerian side bettered the outing of previous representatives, Rivers Angels who were involved in the maiden edition of the competition.

They had to settle for third place following defeat to last edition's third place winner, ASFAR of Morocco who edged the Queens by a goal to nil.

Gabrielle bagged the Woman of the Match award for her stunning performance in the match.
