Manager of NPFL side, Kwara United, Azeez Audu Muhammed, has pleaded with the fans and supporters of the club to exercise patience and calmness as his team continue their quest to reach the CAF Confederation Cup Group Stages.

Muhammed said this after Kwara United’s 3-1 victory over defending CAF Confederations Cup Champions RS Berkane at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

The Coach believes the team will go far only if they are given patience and time for all things to come together.

The Nigerian side are billed to play RS Berkane away from home next week and will be looking to do a double over the holders or at least get a draw to cement their passage to group stage.

Kwara United last played in the CAF Confederations Cup when they came third at the end of the 2006 Super Four play-off behind Ocean Boys and Nasarawa United FC and qualified for the 2007 edition of the CAF Confederation Cup.

They previously reached the Quarterfinals of the CAF Cup in 1999.

The CAF Cup was an annual competition organised by the CAF for domestic leagues runners-up of member associations who have not qualified to one of the two pre-existing CAF international club competitions the African Cup of Champions Clubs or the African Cup Winners' Cup.
