Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface returned to the scoring sheet on Sunday as Bayer Leverkusen crushed Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 in the German Bundesliga matchday 32 fixture played at the Deutsche Bank Park, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

Victor who was an unused sub in Leverkusen's 2-0 away win at Rome in the UEFA Europa League semifinal first leg clash with Roma during the week was again dropped to the bench, this time for Patrik Schick, but was introduced into the game a minute pass the hour mark with Leverkusen already 3-1 up.

He then converted from the spot with a minute left on the regulation time to make it 5-1 for the German Champions, increasing his Bundesliga goal tally of the season to 12, making him the highest scorer for Leverkusen despite missing 3 months on the sidelines due to injury.

Boniface will hope to recover his starting belt on Thursdau when Leverkusen host Roma at the BayArena for the semifinal of the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League, leading 2-0 from the first leg.

Meanwhile, Boniface national teammate, Nathan Tella saw 72 minutes of actions in the game before making way for Frimpong who scored Leverkusen's 4th of the encounter.

The win also extended Leverkusen's unbeaten run to 46 in all competitions this season, with five games left for them to end the season without losing a game.
