BA United board sacks CEO Roy Arthur again after AshGold defeat
BA United board chairman Peter Nimo has announced the dismissal of Chief Executive Roy Arthur for the second time in a month.
Last month, he was handed an indefinite suspension for failing to account to his superiors.
News of Arthur’s recent dismissal was circulated on Whatsapp by a Sports Journalist, who claimed Nimo phoned him after their 4-1 crushing at AshantiGold.
“The CEO says he has not been informed officially and also heard the news from a friend. He’s cool and I can’t tell you about his next action,” the club’s spokesperson Awal Mohammed.
BA United are at the foot of the Ghana Premier League table with 15 points after 19 matches.
Arthur was credited for leading the club from the lower division to the Premier League after ten years in the wilderness.
He was the youngest Chief Executive in the Premier League.
