Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has secured Fulham’s Goal of the Month award for February, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Iwobi's striking performance came alive when he netted Fulham’s decisive goal in a remarkable 2-1 triumph against Manchester United at the iconic Old Trafford stadium.

In a thrilling display of skill and precision, the 27-year-old expertly placed the ball into the bottom corner during stoppage time, sealing victory for his team after a swift counterattack.

Among stiff competition, Nigerian defender Calvin Bassey initiated the scoring in the encounter, yet it was Iwobi who ultimately emerged victorious in the race for the individual accolade.

He triumphed over contenders including  Rodrigo Muniz, Callum Osmand, Lemar Gordon, and Georgia Heasman, capturing the admiration of fans with 57.2 percent of the vote.

Meanwhile, Bassey who also was nominated for the award scores the first goal in Fulham’s 2-1 win over Manchester United on Matchday 26.
