Shooting Stars forward, Ajani Ibrahim, has challenged himself and teammates to push harder in their bid to escape the demotion following The Ibadan side's  1-0 away win against MFM FC at the Agege Stadium on Sunday.

The Oluyole Warriors ended their search for a first win on the road in the Nigeria Professional Football League this season courtesy of a 82th minute strike by Ebitimi Agogo.

It was their third  win in  four games  under returnee  gaffer, Gbenga Ogunbote who masterminded their survival in the NPFL last season.

Despite the win against Olukoya Boys, 3SC  still hover around the relegation zone, occupying 16th position in the table.

And Ajani who linked up with the former African champions from South West rivals, Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure last season  has challenged his teammates to give their all in their survival bid.

"To be the first side to beat MFM at the Agege Stadium is not a small feat and it's important for us to build on this result and make sure we stay in the NPFL at the end of the season," Ajani told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"Things have improved for us since coach Gbenga Ogunbote rejoined the club and we believe nothing is impossible to do in football under his tutelage.

"He did a great job with us last season and we believe he will repeat the feat  again this time around.

"The fight is still on as  we are still in the relegation zone. Our target is to maintain our top flight status at the end of the season. To do that, we must continue to win games and not allow complacency set in."
