Super Eagles safe-hands, Francis Uzoho made know him importance yesterday when his side, Omonia Nicosia clinched the Cypriot Cup courtesy of a 1-0 victory against AEL Limassol, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Since his arrival in 2021, Uzoho is adding to his trophy cabinet his second trophy with Nicosia after the victory.

Sofronis Avgousti’s side will compete in the UEFA Europa league next season following the successful defence of their title.

Uzoho’s performance at the just concluded season of the second tier of European football league has earned him quite a lot of respect particularly against Manchester United.

With his second clean sheet in the Cypriot Cup, Omonia Nicosia have now won the competition 16 times.
