Kayode Olanrewaju scored his 17th Austrian Bundesliga goal of the season for Austria Wein who lost 3-2 in Thursday's league clash at home to Austrian League Champions elect Salzburg, reports

The strike was the Super Eagles strijer's 24th goal of the season in 48 appearances for the club this season.

Olanrewaju doubled his side's lead in the 29th minute after an own goal from Andreas Ulmer had handed hosts Austria Wein a sixth minute lead.

But goals from Amadou Haidara, Hee-Chan Hwang and Valentino Lazaro secured a remarkable win for the visitors,Salzburg.

The Nigerian international was yellow carded in the 89th minute of the encounter.

The defeat also means Sturm Graz tie Austria Wein on the same points with 60 points from 35 games though with an inferior goal scored so far this season.

Austria Wein are currently second in the Bundesliga with 60 points from 35 games. Both Austria Wein and Sturm Graz will qualify for the Europa League competition next season regardless of the final day results.

The former Maccabi Netanya striker is expected to join up with his national teammates on Saturday ahead of the game against Togo in Paris at the Stade Municipal de Saint Leu La Foret, next Thursday, 1st June 2017.

Austria Wien's next game is an away clash to fifth placed Admira Moedling who lost 2-1 to Sturm Graz.
