Newly capped Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Dennis Emmanuel Bonaventure made history in the UEFA Champions League by becoming the first Nigerian to score a brace at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid as his side Club Brugge let a two goal lead slip to draw 2-2

Bonaventure scored two first half goals in the 9th and 39th minute to give his side a shock two goal lead which they hanged on as both teams head into the dressing room for the half time break.

Real Madrid rallied their way back into the game with captain Sergio Ramos pulling a goal back in the 56 minute before Casemiro level scores shortly after Club Brugge were reduced to ten men following a red card.

Despite the setback of letting a two goal lead slip, Dennis who was on for 71 minute will no doubt be proud of setting a record of becoming the first player to scored the fastest goal for Club Brugge in the history of the UEFA Champions League following his goal eight minutes and nine seconds into the tie.

He also became the third Nigerian to score against Real Madrid following in the footstep of James Obiorah and Ayila Yusuf but he still remain the sole Nigerian to have scored a brace against them
